Though she is lives in the City, Kim will always be a Jersey Girl at heart. As a child growing up in New Jersey, she played soccer, took dance and riding lessons but the one constant in her life was acting. She was always found playing make-believe both indoors and out. Her parents never guessed that their shy little girl who didn't talk till she was three would grow up to be an actress. Her favorite thing in the world is to laugh and make others laugh, even if that means making a fool out of herself.
While attending a nationally renowned performing arts program for the gifted and talented at Somerset Vocational & Technical High School in NJ, she was consistently busy with shows and studying voice privately with Michael Stuempfle. While at Ithaca College, she played Alice in a student film, After the Fall, based on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland.
After finding her way to the Big Apple, Kim began studying the Meisner technique in depth at Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. She blossomed under the tutelage of Meisner devotee Richard Pinter and allowed her singing voice to fully develop with Ron Shetler. She loved exploring film with director John Gallagher and has developed a real interest in off-beat movies. Cast as Sophie in a Shetler adaptation of Mamma Mia!, Kim is eager to explore roles that allow her humor and young-at-heart attitude to shine through
Kimberly is also the Artistic Director for Just Kidding Theatre Company, Inc. which she started with some of her fellow Neighborhood Playhouse Alumni. In June of 2012 they had their premiere show of DOG SEES GOD and in April 2013 they put on LIVING DEAD IN DENMARK as their second show. Currently they are working on their first Spring and Summer Reading Series that will start April 27th and run the last Sunday of every month till July 27th.
When she is not involved in a show, she can usually be found at the gym, reading a good book, catching a great movie, and, if the weather allows, relaxing in Central Park. One of her favorite pastimes on Wednesday nights used to be volunteering at the Veterans Hospital with Veteran's Bedside Network doing old radio readings in the detox ward. Kim loves Country music, and applies its lessons to her own life. Who says you can't go after your dream and have fun at the same time? It's the only way to do it.
